Library & Lab

     Jasper School has a 1:1 ratio of Chromebooks and students.  The school provides both a wi-fi and and wired networks.  Content filtering monitors both networks.

     The school library has over 4,000 books for the Accelerated Reader program.  There are also nonfiction, reference, and teacher resource sections.

     During the summer, students may come to the Library and Lab to begin earning their Accelerated Reader points for the next school year.  Summer AR is on Tuesdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

      The Library sponsors a Scholastic Book Fair once a year.  Flyers and notices are sent home with students to announce the dates of the fair.

 Student Online Personal Protection Act Compliance

Effective July 1, 2021, school districts will be required by the Student Online Personal Protection Act (SOPPA) to provide additional guarantees that student data is protected when collected by educational technology companies, and that data is used for beneficial purposes only (105 ILCS 85).

Jasper School District maintains a Sonicwall firewall on the district network. Also, the district utilizes the following online services and/or software for student curriculum, testing, and data management.
